The re and by-elections scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, 2025, have been confirmed in a total of 23 regions, including one for superintendent of education, five for heads of local governments, eight for metropolitan council members, and nine for local council members.

These re and by-elections will be held in places where election-related vacancies were confirmed between September 1 of last year and February 28 of this year due to reasons such as disqualification or death of the officeholders.

Candidate registration will be open for two days starting Thursday, March 13, and election campaigning will be permitted from Thursday, March 20.

Early voting will take place over two days, from Friday, March 28, to Saturday, March 29, between 6 AM and 6 PM. One early voting station will be set up in each eup, myeon, and dong within the regions holding re and by-elections. Voters can cast their ballots at any early voting station in these constituencies, regardless of their registered address.

However, on election day, voters must cast their ballots at their designated polling stations. Voting hours on election day are from 6 AM to 8 PM.
