Final turnout in July 30 repeat & by-elections is 32.9%

947,873 out of 2,880,455 voters cast a vote in July 30 repeat & by-elections conducted in 15 constituencies for National Assembly members, achieving the turnout of 32.9%.  

This shows a decrease from the turnouts of the repeat & by-elections conducted twice in 2013 (33.5% achieved respectively in the first half and the second half) but an increase from the average turnout (29.5%) of the repeat & by-elections conducted immediately after the nationwide local elections since 2000 (29.6% in the 8 August 2002 elections, 24.8% in the 26 July 2006 elections and 34.1% in the 28 July 2010 elections).

The highest turnout was 51.0% in Gokseong-gun Suncheon-si and the lowest was 22.3% in Gwangsan-gu B.

Looking at the elected by political party, 11 candidates have been elected from the Saenuri Party and 4 from the New Politics Alliance for Democracy.

Meanwhile, the candidate of the Saenuri Party has won the election of a local council member in Suwon-si G.
