According to the National Election Broadcasting Debate Commission, the ‘period for candidate TV debates’ has been set up from July 17, the starting day of repeat/by-elections period to July 24, the day before the commencement of early voting, during which all debates will be held.

22 rounds of candidate TV debates are scheduled for the upcoming repeat/by-elections, including 15 TV debates and 7 speech sessions in 15 constituencies for members of the National Assembly and will be aired through KBS and MBC channels, the public broadcasting companies or cable channels.

Those who miss out on watching TV debates can still view them through the NEBDC website www.debates.go.kr or the mobile App. ‘Re-view Candidate Debates’.

Meanwhile, the NEBDC asked for voters’ interest and support while expressing its determination to actively promote candidate TV debates through the media to form a public consensus on its significance and increase viewing figures.
