Results of 2014 Local Elections

The successful management of early voting conducted for the first time in nationwide elections contributed to ensuring opportunities for voters to actually vote and increasing the voter turnout.

 

4,744,241 out of 41,296,228 voters took part in early voting with the turnout of 11.49%. The voter turnout in 2014 local elections reached 56.8%, which was increased by 2.3% compared to that in 2010 local elections.

 

The National Election Commission made its efforts to enhance transparency and reliability of election management through the live Internet broadcast of the voting/counting processes, public recruitment of counting staff, etc.
