In accordance with the Political Funds Act, the National Election Commission gave out the 2014 fourth quarterly current subsidy to four political parties on November 14, which amounted to KRW 9.725 billion. <Disbursement of 2014 fourth quarterly current subsidy> (Unit: KRW)
In compliance with Article 27 of the Political Funds Act, the first half of a current subsidy is evenly given out to the political parties holding a negotiation group in the National Assembly at the time of disbursement while each of the political parties having more than 5 but less than 20 seats in the National Assembly is entitled to 5% of the total amount of the current subsidy. Half of the remaining half of the subsidy goes out to the political parties having a seat in the National Assembly according to the ratio of the number of the seats gained by each of them and the other half is disbursed based on the ratio of the number of the votes obtained by political parties in the most recent National Assembly elections.
