ACEEEO Decided to Join A-WEB

NEC Deputy Secretary General Persuaded ACEEEO members at the General Assembly

The National Election Commission (NEC) has announced that the NEC delegation participated in the 22nd Annual Conference and General Assembly Meeting of the Association of Central and Eastern European Election Officials (ACEEEO) held in Warsaw, Republic of Poland in September 12 to 14.

The NEC delegates, including the Deputy Secretary General Kim Yong-Hi, introduced the schedule of the Inaugural Assembly of A-WEB and the 6th Global Electoral Organization (GEO) Conference held in Song-do, In-Cheon from October 14 to 17 and encouraged the participation of European countries.

The NEC expected that this will serve as a momentum to encourage more ACEEEO members to participate in A-WEB.

As of September 15, the NEC has completed the registration of 81 EMBs and 45 electoral international organizations for the Inaugural Assembly of A-WEB. Based on the number of organizations expressing the intention to come and inquiring how to register, the NEC estimates that participating delegates and EMBs will increase further.
