You can watch live streams of parts of voting and counting during the 21st National Assembly Elections on Youtube (www.youtube.com/user/necpr). Take a look at the schedule above and watch online at your convenience (times are listed in Korea time, GMT+9). Early voting will be held April 10 and 11, and election day is April 15. To view subtitles in your own language, on the video click the CC button at the bottom of the video screen. Then click the settings image, go to subtitles/CC and choose your language under 'auto-translate'

COVID-19 Response Measures Ahead of the 21st National Assembly Elections (April 15)

The NEC has put in place a series of special measures regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) ahead  of the 21st National Assembly elections. They are mainly focused on ensuring the safety of voters and polling station staff. Measures include:
- Response measures related to polling stations
- Code of Conduct and voter information
- Response measures regarding overseas voting

Overseas Voting for the 21st National Assembly Elections being held April 1 to April 6 The NEC announced that overseas voting for the 21st National Assembly elections is taking place from April 1 to April 6 at 96 polling stations in 66 countries around the world. The polling started at the embassy in Fiji at 5am Korean time on April 1. The number of overseas voters in the relevant regions is 86,040, which amounts to around 50.0 percent of the total 171,959 overseas voters

Full Election Campaign Period Begins on April 2 The NEC announced that anyone who has the right to take part in election campaigning may freely campaign from April 2, the date of the start of the election period, until April 14, the day before election day. In addition campaigning through the internet or by e-mail and text message is also allowed on election day itself.

Candidate Registration Period for the 21st National Assembly Elections Closed, Average of 4.4 Candidates per Seat for Constituency Members The NEC announced the close of candidate registration for the 21st National Assembly elections, with 1,118 candidates from 21 political parties registering for elections for constituency members at an average of 4.4 candidates per seat. Also 312 candidates registered for elections for proportional representation members from 35 political parties.

NEC Pays 115 Million Won as a Reward to Persons Who Reported Election Crimes The NEC announced that, in relation to the 21st National Assembly elections, it has filed a complaint with the prosecution against a preliminary candidate who is suspected of having exempted medical fees for patients in return for filling out applications to join the candidate’s party, and a person suspected of providing transportation for a potential candidate.
