H.E. Ittiporn Boonpracong, Chairperson of the Election Commission of the Kingdom of Thailand Visits NEC

H.E. Ittiporn Boonpracong, Chairperson of the Election Commission of the Kingdom of Thailand (ECT), and his delegation visited the National Election Commission of the Republic of Korea on April 29, 2024.

The delegation of the ECT visited the NEC to conduct a study visit and to attend a briefing on the ROK's recent elections and political processes. Chairperson Ittiporn Boonpracong had a welcoming meeting with Secretary General Yong-bin Kim and attended a working-level talk with Chief Election Policy Officer Kwang-ho Shin.

The ECT's visit served as a key opportunity for the Thai delegation to learn about the Republic of Korea's electoral process and a meaningful event for the NEC to study the Thai electoral system as well.

The delegation had a fruitful discussion with the NEC that encompassed a variety of topics related to the South Korean electoral system. After the working-level meeting, the Thai delegation had an opportunity to explore the Election Promotion Center to experience election-related equipment such as a ballot sorting machine and tabulation machine.
